Proctoring guidelines for Dickinson State University exams.

Prior to the exam:

  • Prior to submitting their proctor form, students must read through and agree to the DSU Proctor Policy.
  • Two weeks prior to the scheduled exam, students must complete the DSU Proctor Form
    • Upon receipt of the proctor form, TREC will contact the proctor to confirm their agreement to proctor
  • It is the student’s responsibility to contact TREC to schedule a day and time to complete their exam

On the day of the exam:

  • Exams will completed in May Hall room 318
  • All students are required to provide a current photo ID (i.e. student ID card, driver’s license)
  • Items not allowed in the testing area will be placed in a cubicle outside of the testing area

Proctoring guidelines for exams outside of Dickinson State University.

  • There is a $5.00 per exam charge for exams outside of Dickinson State University
  • NOTE: Beginning August 1, 2015, the proctoring fees will be changing.
    • Non-DSU Exams for students attending a North Dakota institution: $15.00 for first hour + $5.00 for each additional hour.
    • Non-DSU Exams for students attending institution outside of North Dakota: $20.00 for first hour + $5.00 for each additional hour
    • Time will be based on exam time allotted from sending institution, not actual clock time taken to complete the exam.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to contact TREC to schedule a day and time to complete their exam

Additional Exam Details

  • Some courses may require the use of Respondus Lockdown Browser for taking exams.
  • Beginning with the Fall 2015 semester, the Respondus Lockdown Browser/Tegrity combination will no longer be available as a testing option.
  • DSU will be entering into a pilot program utilizing ProctorU for a select few online courses.
    • This is an optional paid service where a student may test from their home computer
